If you've found a journal in Unpaywall whose Open Access status is incorrect, you can quickly make submit corrections using our Journal Curation page. This tool currently works for Unpaywall records only, but will be extended to OpenAlex soon.
This tool is currently only available to logged in users who are known librarians to OpenAlex. If you would like to have your account marked as a librarian please submit a support request.
Using this tool you can:
- Search for journals by title or ISSN and filter by Open Access status or works count.
- View what Unpaywall currently thinks the OA status is.
- Click any result to start a change request. When reporting that a journal should be OA we'll ask if it has always been OA or if it became OA in a particular year.
- Submitted changes are approved automatically and the result will be visible in our API and website within two days.
